NetEase Cloud Music (http://music.163.com/), a music and video streaming service operated by NetEase. The NCM Service was launched in mainland China in April 2013 and by May 2020 had over 800 million registered users; and Yin Jie, a karaoke streaming service launched in March 2020.
Our agreement covers content distribution to:
- NetEase Cloud Music (“NCM Service”), a music and video streaming service operated by NetEase. The NCM Service was launched in mainland China in April 2013 and by May 2020 had over 800 million registered users.
- Yin Jie, a karaoke streaming service launched in March 2020 (“Yin Jie Service”).
The NCM Service offers the following tiers:
Ad-supported Service:
- An on-demand music streaming service, free to end-users, with advertising and available on all devices;
- No connected download functionality (i.e., “offline mode”);
- Low-quality audio at 128 kbps.
Premium Subscription Service:
- Same functionality as the Basic Subscription Service except it includes connected downloads (i.e., “offline mode”) of up to 500 songs;
- Provides subscribers access to purchase tickets for live concerts;
Basic Subscription Service:
- An on-demand music streaming subscription service available on all devices;
- Includes connected downloads (i.e., “offline mode”) of up to 300 songs;
- Standard audio quality at 320 kbps;
VIP Subscription Service:
- Same functionality as the Basic Subscription Service;
- Provides subscribers access to discounts and coupons for paid products, access to purchase tickets for live concerts, radio programs (not licensed under our Agreement), lyrics with customizable backgrounds and customizable masks, and music player features.
Yin Jie Service
- Allows users to sing and/or record their own vocals over a master recording (either along with the original vocals (as a “duet”) or with the original vocals digitally removed) (“UGC Covers”) and publish the UGC Covers to the Yin Jie Service platform;
- On-demand service available on all devices;
- No connected download functionality (i.e., “offline mode”);
- Low-quality audio at 128 kbps.
